Welcome to visit our factory !

Ferrosilicon is a basic ferroalloy material widely used in steelmaking and foundry industries. It is mainly produced from quartz stone, coke and steel scrap through high-temperature reduction in submerged arc furnaces. Ferrosilicon is mainly used for deoxidation and alloying in steelmaking, and as raw material for inoculants and nodulizers in cast iron production.
The Ferrosilicon Production Process at Jinshi Metallurgy
1. Raw Material Preparation
High-purity quartz stone, high-quality coke and steel scrap are carefully selected and proportioned according to the target grade. All raw materials go through strict composition inspection before entering the production line to ensure stable final quality.
2. High-Temperature Smelting
The mixed raw materials are fed into submerged arc furnaces and smelted at temperatures above 2000°C. Our technical team monitors furnace parameters in real time to control the reduction reaction and ensure stable alloy composition.
3. Tapping & Cooling
Molten ferrosilicon is tapped from the furnace and poured into ingot molds for natural cooling and solidification. The cooling process is strictly controlled to avoid internal cracks and pulverization risks.
4. Crushing & Screening
Solidified ferrosilicon ingots are crushed and screened into different particle sizes according to customer requirements. We use multi-stage screening equipment to ensure uniform particle size and low fine powder content.
5. Quality Inspection & Packaging
Each batch undergoes full chemical composition testing in our laboratory. Qualified products are packed in standard export jumbo bags with moisture-proof inner liners, ready for domestic delivery and sea transportation.
Anyang Jinshi Metallurgy strictly controls every production link to provide customers with high-quality, stable and reliable ferrosilicon products. Welcome to contact us for more technical details.
